Digg.com this morning launched a site redesign and added some really great new features.  See the linked story for Digg founder Kevin Rose's blog post.  more after the jump…

Essentially, Digg has a new layout and look with better exposure for the top stories, while still bringing all the community submitted stuff up front.

Another new addition is a special section for videos with an AJAX enabled embedded video player.  Only some sites are supported, but of course YouTube, MetaCafe and (one assumes) Google video are all supported.

The last enhancement that really rocks my world is the brand new podcast section. Here you can dig shows as well as individual episodes, comment on the episodes and find out more about what other people are subscribed to and digging.  It's growing and wonderful!

So pop on over to digg.com, you might need a login to access some of the beta features, but you should have one anyway.  While you're there, add me as a friend:  I'm digg.com/users/brian1001001
