RockStartup! — Behind the scenes of Web2.0

Rockstartup Look! Up on YouTube! It's a TV show!  It's a Podcast!  No, it's a behind the scenes look at the founding and running of PayPerPost, which is a new-ish Web 2.0 company.  I know, some of you out there are saying, "Reality TV is bad enough on the Tube, why would I watch it online?"  but hear me out… after the jump.

First, the specifics (for those of you who prefer to simply watch). The show is short format. Each episode is less than ten minutes. It's available to download in several resolutions: 1080HD, 720HD, 480 letterboxed, PSP and iPod. You can also subscribe via iTunes. Alright, on to the show itself:

There are clearly "Apprentice"-like elements to Rockstartup, but there's no team competition. It's more of a self-hyping documentary, and it's strangely addictive! The founder and CEO of PayPerPost is Ted Murphy who (I'm sorry to say) reminds me a little bit of a used car salesman. But that's the thing, he also seems to sort of encapsulate one of the archetypal personalities that drive start-ups.

If nothing else, the behind the scenes look at what goes on day-to-day at a small Web2.0 company is worth the price of admission. Which is, after all, free.

Rockstartup is streaming now at RockStartup.com, and the company they've founded can be found at PayPerPost.com.

FWIW: An interesting side note.  This is the first PayPerPost item I've submitted.  So not only is the posting ABOUT PayPerPost, it's USING PayPerPost.  How's that for meta?  I'll let you all know how well PPP works, once they review this post and decide to pay me or what.

UPDATE: I don't know if this is good or bad, but PPP didn't think the above was ENOUGH disclosure.  So in case anyone is in anyway unclear, this post is being sponsored by Pay Per Post and Rockstartup.com (assuming they actually pay me).  The offered sponsorship has in no way colored my opinions of Rockstartup.com, I really do think it's interesting and would probably have blogged it even if PPP didn't sponsor this post.    Is that quite enough disclosure?  If not, please note that this post is a part of the "Pay-Per-Post" category.  Also note that in the footer of this and EVERY page on the blog, there is a link to the legal , privacy and DISCLOSURE policy for BrianAndPamlea.com.

Update 2: Ok, this time the post was rejected because the anchor text wasn't exact.  They wanted "reality tv". I wrote "LINK: Reality TV does Web2.0 — RockStartup".  Which in my world is better, more descriptive and you might actually click on it… but what do I know?  I'm not a marketing genius.
