Dress Up Games

Alright, recently we launched theCaffeinated (our discussion forums) and some of you who've been there have been wondering about avatars (those little pictures to the left of our posts.) Have no fear, TheDollPlace.com is here with the DollMaker.

So it won't be that useful to guys, but much like making a Mii on the Nintendo Wii, you can make your own forum avatars (as well as play games and just generally muck about playing dress up) here.

But wait, there's more. Not only is this an avatar maker, you can essentially make your own little cutesy dolls, dress them however you wish and then save them to your computer.

Now I'm not a little girl (or even a little girl pretending to be a 31 year old mother of three…) but I can easily see how those inclined to the wearing of the pink might be able to spend hours playing with this little toy. You can make Angels, Princesses, Hippies, Christmas themes, emo, even pirate babes. In fact about the only thing I can't find right away is boy avatars and dolls.

Now, one word of warning. When I saw "Games" in the link, I assumed there was some sort of objective. That's the male in me interpreting the word "game". Silly me. This is just about playing dress-up. No points, no saving the world, no bouncing of balls, or scoring of goals. Its dress up games in the little girl sense. So give it a shot, I think you'll like it.

Oh and before you think I've gone all soft and cute, remember that this post is sponsored by theDollPlace.com. Which doesn't change the fact that it's still pretty neat and you can still use it to create you avatars for theCaffeinated.

Edit:  I received an email claiming to have problems with the site, but I just tried it again and it worked fine.  In fact I just made this avatar in a few seconds.  There are some places where the service is a little wonky, I've seen.  Your Mileage May Vary, I suppose.
